HI,
According to some dictionaries, ?according, depend on, reply on, count on, be subject to? are used as follows:

According to
1. ?According to? means ?as shown by sth or said by sb.?
Ex: According to George, she?s a great player.
According to Bopha, John would do better in his study. (= Bopha said that John would do better in his study.)
2. ?According to? also means ?in a way that agrees with.?
Ex: We are paid according to how much we do.
       Everything went according to plan.
The work was done according to her instructions.

Depend on
To change according to what else happens or whether sth else changes
depending on
depend on what/who/how?
Ex: The amount you pay depends on where you live.
That you can pass the test depends on how much you have worked very hard.

Be subject to: depending on sth else in order to be complete or agreed.
Ex: The article is ready to publish, subject to your approval.
Your assignment will be accepted, subject to your signature.

Rely on, depend on, count on, bank on: means ?to trust?
Rely on: to trust sb/sth to do what you need or expect them to do
 to rely on sb / sth (to do sth);  to rely on sb/sth (for sth)
Depend on: to rely on sb to do what you need or expect them to do because you know that they are the type of person that you can trust.
 to depend on sb/sth (to do sth);  to depend on sb/sth (for sth)
Count on: to reply on sb to do sth that you need them to do, especially to give you help or support?
 to count on sb to do sth; to count on sth; to count on sb for help/support?
Bank on: to rely on sth happening or sb doing sth so that you can make plans for the future

You?re the only person who we can rely on to fly the plane.
It?s good to know I can depend on you every time I need help from you.
We?re counting on you to wake us up in time.
They might offer you another job, but I wouldn?t bank on it.
