I was in Siem Reap last week and the show didn't tempt me. Not at sixty or eighty dollars per person. BTW, Denith, what does the prophecy mean?

If you speak Khmer, you'll surely know what it means.
"Prey Nokor Ro-loum, Phnom Penh Ro-leay Battambang Kcjat-kcjay, Sabey Angkor Wat."
Ro-loum, Ro-leay, and Kcjat-kcjay are Khmer words. They mean "collapse, no longer exist, and break down to pieces". Prey Nokor was a city in Cambodia. Now it belongs to Vietnam, and is now known as Saigon. Thus, the phrase "Prey Nokor Ro-loum" has already come true.
The last phrase "Sabey Angkor Wat" means Angkor Wat will be developed and peaceful. Everyone will want to go there.
That's the prophecy about Cambodia's cities. As a matter of fact, there are many prophecies about Cambodia, and some of them are proven to be true already.

If you speak Khmer, you'll surely know what it means.
My Khmer does not extend to knowing the name of the city that is HCM today. Also, Khmer romanised spelling is a nightmare because it is very far from standardised and the same word can have several spellings. I never bothered to learn the Hoffman spelling as I thought it didn't spell what I was hearing and soe of her choices for letters were odd. This means that when I look things up in a dictionary, it can be pretty hit or miss. Thanks for the info on the prophecy.
