While arranged marriage had been traditionally adopted, mutual love-based marriage is now superseded the idea by the new generation. With the current influence of the westerners attitude, the majority of marriage is now no longer matched while some part is still practiced. Instead, most grown-up prefer to build up their marital life by firstly getting to know each other for certain period of time instead of waiting to be arranged by their parents. To what extent would you concur each idea? What type of marriage would you prefer to choose if you were in the situation? Please share your experiences as well as concrete evidences to support your idea.

For me, I'll choose arranged marriage, because I know my mother will not introduce me an ugly girl.

Hey! Denith, You know what! For sure your mom will definitely choose you no ugly lady, but beautiful lady doesn't mean you can really live the rest of your life with her, don't you? Does you actually mean that marriage is mainly focusing on beauty or what? Can you just make it clear your reason?

Yeah,you know the beauty is only the skindeep!But the charecter is the main point.I agree that we have to get to know each other first before we getting married.

You got to understand what I'm saying.
Parent tends to choose the spouse for their children carefully and perfectly, because they love their children. Definitely they want their children to be safe, harmonious and happy. Indefinitely, they can not find the MATCH one but at least, they know better than US - sometimes - and I believe children are too impulsive and over-reacted sometimes, if they take times, they will see what will coming.

Alright! Gotcha! Parents are alike. No wonder they have always dedicated their heart and soul, and gone through adversaries just because for the sake of their children's brighter future!
To recap, the majority of say-so will be given to your parents. Let's see the rest of others, what will they think of?

What will happen if you have girlfriend already and the same time your parents ask you to married with other girl? Do you fight against your mum, Denith? Or have to break up?

Hmm... Its hard to say, I never been through the experience before. But to my sense, I believe its all depend on my heart, and you know me well, how I behave! So, if I feel my girlfriend is better in ANY quality, I will fight, even against my mother.

For my idea, I mostly believe in what parent have chosen. I noticed that they've never gone wrong about choosing their child's match. I will go after what my parent arrange for me, but let's see if I agree with them or not after getting to know about each other. It's better to be safe than sorry.
The most thing I always keep in mind that I won't ever do in my life is FIGHING AGAINST MY MUM FOR LOVE'S SAKE! It never ever happen!
Well for all I think, actually, it completely depends on which situation you are under... It's hardly to make decision by saying unless you go through it. You mind will change, probably! hehehe
