Hello Kimlong,

Ask is a simple word used in simple way when it is without a preposition.
Ex : She asked me when the movies started.

Three of these uses of ask + preposition have the same meanings.
- Ask for is used when someone wants to request something.
Ex : I asked Mr. Byrd for that intereting book.
-Ask of has the same meaning as ask for, but in diffirent use.
Ex : I asked that interesting book of Mr. Byrd.
- Ask to is also used for requesting.
Ex : I asked to borrow Mr. Byrd that interesting book.

Hope this might help you a bit! Cheesy

Any more ideas will be accepted,

Ask of
That is asking a lot of me = that is expecting me to do a lot- a heavy burden

Thanks Tdol!!

in the sentence you wrote, the word ask of means DEMAND, right?

Why not you share any notion on the other words, i mean ask, ask for...

Yes, it's similar in meaning to demand, though it can be done less directly:

Tdol: I'd like you to write a 3,000 word essay by tomorrow.
Kimlong:  That's asking a lot of me.
Tdol:  OK, do it by Friday then.

Here, I am not exactly demanding, but it is definitely similar in meaning and effect.
