hey galaxy,  Cheesy

here is a bit about me...............................................

my name is Paul Brown and I have a Masters Degree and I am a candidate for Ph.d, which is under completion at the moment. I also have a CELTA ( Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults and a TEYL, Teaching English to Young Learners Certificate too. So I have the academic background to supplement my obvious skills as a both a native English speaker and an English language teacher.

I am living in Phnom Penh, and I have lived here for about one and a half years now. It is a great place and I really like it here.  Cheesy I love the people and I find them all very friendly and great.  Cheesy . I have taught English to Cambodian students here and I find them very interested in improving their English skills and their enthusiasm is awesome!  Smiley I have taught in Thailand and India, but I find the Cambodians really easy to teach, as they want to learn and are really eager to become better in English. I can speak a bit of Khmer ( but not much ), so I know how hard it really is to learn a second language.

I decided to lauch this online student portal in Cambodia to try to give the students a chance to help each other and learn together online as a supplement to the studies they are already undertaking at a school somewhere. The team at www.5steps2ielts is NOT connected to any school, company or organisation and we do NOT have any classes running the 5steps for English success anywhere, at the moment. I am ow developing the online English language teaching material and content, and that takes up a lot of my time at the moment!  Smiley

I am really very very happy  Cheesy  with the support that everyone has given to the website by becoming members and joining the discussion forums and sharing ideas and learning strategies to become a better learner of English. The response from the students has been wonderful! So thanks a lot for that, it is brilliant  Cheesy

Hope you can join the live chat this weekend, as that started last weekend and was a great success!  Cheesy

have fun,
