Hey Cheng Dina,

There are 4 conditionals in English.....
0 conditional : If water is 100 degrees celcius, it boils ( used for general truths or facts )
1 conditional : If it rains, I will get wet ( used for future prediction )
2 conditional : If I won the lottery, I would buy a car ( used for hypothetical/unreal situations )
3 conditional : If I had won the lottery, I would have bought a car ( hypothetical/unreal situation
in the past )
Mixed Conditionals
These mainly apply to 1st and 2nd conditionals and they are used to add a degree of 'possibility' to the condition. Both the 1st conditional 'will' and the 2nd conditional 'would' can be substituted with the words..may/might/could. This makes it clear that it is a possibility.
1st : If it rains, I could get wet
If it rains, I may get wet
If it rains, I might get wet
2nd : If I won the lottery, I could buy a car
If I won the lottery, I may buy a car
If I won the lottery, I might buy a car
*Native speakers sometimes mix up the conditionals in other ways when we speak as well, so sometimes we can speak a conditional which is not exactly grammatically accurate, but acceptable in spoken form.
For example : 1st/2nd If I win the lottery, I would buy a house

I hope that helps,
Have fun,

Paul
