Dear Everyone,

To begin with, it was great to be aboard in here! However, I have found that most of you are well versed with English Terminology. Therefore, I am seeking everyone's assistance to clarify some terms that has been confusing me once in a while in using it until some time I was considered to overgeneralize the rule  Grin ! Shame on me!

Here you go those terms! Missteps, short-coming and mistake, what is the difference between them and in what sort of situation can be used certain word?

It will be pretty appreciated for your clear explanation with the supporting examples of all sort!

Awaiting to hear and see the fruitful result! Any inconveniences please excuse my apology!  Smiley

All my best,
Antoneen

the word "misstep" is completely alien to me, but I can explain with the word "mistake."

Misstep = Mis + Step Where
             - Mis : a prefix added to show the "wrongly made" aspect.
             - Step : is pointed to your decision.
Meaning : It is implied that you have made some sort of wrong decision.

Mistake = Mis + take Where
             - Mis : a prefix ........................
             - Take : is pointed to your action.
Meaning : It is simple, you DID wrong.

Well, instead of distinguishing each term, you are explaining to me word by word. But that's kinda good though!

I will keep waiting to hear from other of our friends to budge in on and share their insight in regard to this inquiry!

For your information, I do appreciate your explanation Denith, but you have left one of my word behind my friend!  Smiley
