Why not Snaren! Wink
Please see the example below:

Snaren: Are there any T-shirts?
Seller: Yes sure! We have many colors. Which color do you like?
Snaren: I'd like the red one.

The word ONE in the sentence is a  pronoun, which is derived from the noun,T-shirt.

Is it acceptable?

They are red.  Here the adjective is modifying a pronoun.  Grin

As far as I know the adj always modifies n. but pls look at here:
We can say -------- the white one --------------- those black ones
but can not ----------- pretty her -------------------- handsome him

in the sentence that -------- they are powerful---------- this adj comes after the verb to be and I think it is called subjective complement.

I’m not sure about the use adj to state the pronoun esp the word ‘‘one’’
pls post more your explanations

From my poor head, adjectives modify merely subject pronouns(He, she, It, They...) not object pronouns(Him, her...).

If you find any reference tell me pong!

Why not object pronouns?
Let's see examples together:
I find him fantastic.
Don't make me crazy.
See? Here an adjective describes an object pronoun.

The adjectives you mentioned are just the complement of the verbs, make and find!

Yeah, you're right, pal.
A complement is just a function of an adjective. Let's see examples below.
He's handsome.
Handsome here is an adjective acting as a subject complement, and it provides the subject, He, the meaning.
Jane considers herself brillaint.
Brillaint here is also an adjective playing a role as an objective complement. Plus, it modifies the object, herself.
All in all, they're adjectives. Grin
