This is a FAQ, just keep speaking and speaking and speaking. Esp with foreigner you guy just keep on conversation and this will take time for you to correct yourself during the conversation. When having problem to understand the other people speech just ask them to repeat or rephrase it, dont feel down or upset when you do like that cos this will ban you from becoming a good speaker.

For relation between speaking and writing I think that sometimes it does have, for instance we can copy soem goods structures and sentences that we have heard the native speakers said, and just practise it by actual way.

This is my opinion, and I always do like that, be hard working and practise practise and practise

Well, speaking and listening sound like two separate skills. But, in practice, the two always go together.

Well, there are Two Main skills in English : Acceptive skills and Productive Skills.
Reading and Listening are Acceptive Skills, whereas Writing and Speaking are Productive Skills.
Those Two Main Skills always interact with one another.
We accept something and then we try to produce something as well. For example, when you listen to English Speakers, then you also try to Speak it out like them, right? So this is how it works.
The more you listen to English Speakers, the more you improve your Speaking Skills.
Therefore, so as to improve your Speaking Skills, it must has somethings to do with Listening.

Hope I can get the right point.
