Hi monivanc, You are asking how you can make foreigners laugh. Really, people from different nationalities probably have different senses of humor. I mean, what I laugh at doesn't necessarily mean what other people laugh at. Even with our local people, sometimes we find it hard to laugh about the same thing all the time. It depends. Anyway, it is not quite tough to understand an English joke as long as you can understand the overal meaning as well as each word in the joke. Really, a joke is meant for laughter and it is made according to a contexual environment. However, at times I can't understand an English joke either because it is not really made for me to understand as it concerns other things that are out of my knowledge. Do you want to make a joke in English? That may not be hard for you to translate it into English but it's a bit hard to make others laugh. Again, they may laugh or not laugh in referring to their sense of humor too.

Hi guys,
Well are you serious pal do you think that what he say is real oh my. Well let see if i can help you some. First just pick up a khmer good joke that most of your friends laugh when you tell them and just try it don'r worry make mistakes earn exp ok so you can learn the foreigner's sense of humor just like mala said so next time in your life you could make it just don't worry if you make mistake.
Hope it will work.
Nice talking to you, Dex

Hi Thank keosomala and dexter. Sometime I feel that when I told a joke to foreigner they don't laugh? I have another question, why the chicken crosses the road? Is this a question to answer or a joke?

Humour can be difficult; it often doesn't translate. However, instead of trying to learn a few English jokes, I would suggest that being yourself and saying things that would make you laugh is probably the best approach. Most humour comes up naturally in conversations rather than through things like jokes- people respond to things that are said or that are happening around them.

Sorry for my reaction. But this question is really hard to answer, because this is not knowledge-based, but nature-based. How can you ask for the method to make someone laugh? Isn't it our aptitude to do so, rite?
