Hello Paul and everybody,

I have a question which is playing on my mind. I would like to know from what time to time I should say " good morning/afternoon/good night". And what is the difference between "good day" and "good morning/afternoon/evening?

Thank you.

All students, as learners, always have problems and then display them to have been resolved, this is the reality to those want to find new strategies so as to get away from the difficulty.

"Good morning" is the phrase used to greet people when they meet each other in the morning, and it is very polite to say that. The time is required to used is from 12 at midnight to 12 at noon.

"Good afternoon" is used greet each other in the afternoon, and the time is required to use is from 12 at noon to 5 in in the evening.

"Good evening"is a polite phrase to say when they meet each other in the evening, and the time is required to use is from 5 in the evening to 12 at midnight.

"Good night"is a polite phrase to say before people go to sleep at night.

"Good day" refers to the phrase used to say when someone feels happy, or wishes somebody to have good luck, especially, it is used in exclamation.

Finally, I hope my opinion can be acceptable to break your question away

sokemas gave a very good reply.

in my country (india), it is usual to say gud afternoon between 12pm and 4pm.

u can also wish 'good morning' when u meet any person the first time on that day , though it may be morning / afternoon / evening.

all the best
