Hi everybody  Cheesy

I want all of you to think about the adjective. There are many kinds of adjectives, but it can be divided into two main parts, grable and ungrable.

What is the difference between Grable and Ungrable adjective? Please in details!

Hope to get your help

Hi mino  Cheesy

I think what you want to ask is Gradable and Ungradable adjectives, right?

Gradable adjectives are one that can be compared.
eg. weak, strong, beautiful, powerful...etc. can be changed/compared to weaker/weakest, more beautiful/most beautiful...etc.

Ungradable adjectives are one that can't be compared.
eg. dead. Cambodian, married...etc. can't be changed/compared. we can't say deader/deadest, more Cambodian...etc.

hope this will be of service  Smiley

Hi All,

Gradable adjective is the adjective that we can make stronger, and Ungradable adjective, we cannot make it any stronger.

Eg. The room is big. Here we can say it is the biggest, or it is bigger than the others.

Eg. The water is freezed. So, it means the water has become ice. Can we say the water is very freezed? No, when it freezes, it become ice. Water cannot become something else that is as cold as or as hard as ice.

I hope this will help.
