Hi Spirit,

Don't be so worried, most of the learners are facing that too. I think your problem is probably caused by lacking practice. Do you speak English in class? Do you speak English with your friends or classmates? You know, those are the first persons that you can practice your English with. Try to make more English communication with people, or of course, you can do it alone either. You can ask and answer whatever yourself, as long as those questions and answers are the right statements.

Anyway, I'd recommend you to listen more as you can copy the other speakers' expressions and pronunciation since it is really important when you speak. Sometimes, a small mistake in pronouncing can cause big problem in speaking. One day, somebody told me she hates ice-cream, but she did say that "I heart ice-cream". I mean, she meant to say HATE but she pronounced HEART. Then it was my big mistake to get her an ice-cream. This is the worst thing I experienced.

Hope this will help,
Prasoeur

Hi Spirit,

Through what you said, I believe that your English is not bad. The problem is you never use lots of English for communication (speaking).
You know, if you want to be good at writing, practice your writing. If you want to be good at listening, listen to lots of English. If you want to be good at reading, read more. So, if you want to be good at speaking, why don't you speak.

Here is a good way to practice, if you find it hard to find someone to practice with. Try speaking in front of the mirrow, or alone. This is how I practice my speaking. Soon enough, you will find yourself speaking English fluently.

Try what I told you. Believe me, IT WORKS.

Hello Spirit and Green Day, Wink

Spirit, don't mention about it, that's my pleasure. Anyway, I think they might feel weird around you because it is the start. And you, you shouldn't give up, just don't care about any laughing of your friends. I guess you might look funny at first, but why don't you try to be funny for a while? And one more, you don't need to be doing alot of thinking when you speak, just say anything that comes to your mind. After some time, you'll not feel tougue tight and that's when you have think carefully about grammar and figure out how to make a natural speaking. That's it.

Good luck mates,
Prasoeur
