Hi, evrybody, I need some good advice to get good score band

HI,

I am Sophorn. I am planning to attend the Art School in South Australia in field of Visual Communication. To meet the entry requirement I must have IELTS 6.0 for the overal score band especially 6.0 for Writing and 6.0 for Reading.

I quite concern about my writing. Any better idea you guys want to share with me in order get good score in writing within the short amount time during the Test.

well, First of all, girlinbalck is me! I've got trouble with that nick so I change to this new one!
Second, I will give some advice for u: My writing can get band 7
I've tried to read more and more things relate to any IELTS topic like: Education, Entertainment, Transportation, Social Issues and so on. You should find some typical words and phrases relate to these topic so u get the ideas to write and speak,too.
I often read the samples before writng. I means the 7-8 or even 9 band score writing of both native and non-native students.(find them in INternet, easy, right?)
That's the way I improve my writing. I really want to hear your opinons, hey guys over there!

Have you tried online learning to help improve your writing skills?

I have just set up a website to help people with the Academic IELTS exam. It's only for the writing part though. It has sample questions, online exercises to help with the specific grammar and vocabulary you need, plus practice tests and model answers.

I think you would find it useful.

 I think it is awesome that you are setting up a website to help us ith ielts, but is it free? I saw on your site that there is a payment option. Most people in Cambodia are very poor and so we cannot afford to pay for study online.

Yes, I'm afriad you do have to pay if you want to receive more modules. However, we have set a price which we believe is very reasonable considering the quality and the amount of the material you receive.

There is one free module so that you can see what you would get if you opt to buy more and we are going to introduce some special offers for clients who recommend the site to a friend for example.

Please give us feedback if you think the prices we have introduced are too high because we want to make the material accessible to as many people as possible from all over the world.

We do understand that some people who want to do IELTS can not afford to do a full-time course or buy lots of exam preparation books which is why we have tried to make our learning material as affordable as we can.

 Hey Sophorn, 

 Have you taken the IELTS test yet? If so, let us know what happened. Getting 6 is not so hard on the IELTS as long as your essay has a good structure and some ideas related to the topic. If you want me to give you some feedback and advice for free, please post one of your essays here in the forum and I will give you some comments.

 There is a new 5steps IELTS writing book coming out in February 2007, to be published in Phnom Penh and also available online. So look out for that, as that will also give you a few ideas on how to achieve the score you want.

 Also don't forget to listen to me on Love FM every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as we often have tips on writing and share some great ideas for getting a good score on IELTS with the listeners.

Hi! Everyone esp Jennybedwell.

Wow! m so surprise with your New Ielts website. I would like to say it looks very very good and yes! of couse useful!!! There has quite alot of excerises and....yeach~~~great!! M very proud of you. But I also have a request. I really want you to put reading samples. Esp reading about genetic sciences or everyday life, care......can be everythings. Reading about the hostory, earth social science,.....It is just my request. I don't know you can do it or not. Just let's me know if you can do it. Thanks before head.

   Hi all of you i can see your idea oh are very good but i think that if you want the high score from IELTs you can see on the site that they give you and must practise by yourself at least 5 to 9hour in a day. Practise are very important as work is teaching us.
 This's just my idea
