Learning English and Master, or good at, this language really provides people "pride", because this an international languages. But one thing to remember is to also "good at" our language as well.

Well, For me I finish my english at Pre-Intermediate level..... I improve myself by reading fictions and I started to copy write and translate for money... I don't find English has changed my life but I found it improved my life instead. I can say that every english words are much more meaningful than cambodian... What all you guys think?

Completely disagree. Many people misjudge some words. Like referring to the 4 qualities:
- Ruub Sambat - Beauty - Chakrya Sambat - Attitude - Trub Sambat - Wealth - Vichea Sambat - Intelligence
How will you explain these terms?

Panharath, I disagree and don't understand why you think so. Khmer words have their meaning in khmer ways, and English words have their meanings in their own ways depending on where and in which context they are used. For Khmer people, we try to translate English to Khmer word by word in order to understand a sentence's meaning. But that is not a good way to approach it. Instead we should translate the whole sentence all at once although we have to use completely different words in Khmer as long as the meaning of the sentence is conserved.
About English words are more meaningful than Khmers. It's absurd. Ther's no one language more meaningful than the other. There is no comparison!

Yeah I know that is no comparison! But I just thought so.... Whenever I read any english fictions, most of all the sentence somehow has incredible knack of creating characters that come alive or something. Most of words are seem like show me the whole meaning unlike khmer words which need to be explained and hardly caught up my sense as english sentence. I also know that khmer words have their meaning in khmer way as well, I agree with that idea. It's more easier to translate from english to khmer than copywrite... Denith! some words as you said are just in case! It's just my idea guys! Oh what's about.. if I say, english sentences are much more logical than khmer sentences? Is that right? How about your idea about this?

Paharath, you mean "logical" in terms of their grammars and sentence structures? I personally have no idea which language's grammar is more practical or more accurate for forming sentences. Your perception about English being better than Khmer might be due to your lack of knowledge in Khmer grammar. I also don't know much Khmer grammar because after secondary school, I as most Khmer students didn't really get any chance at Khmer grammar again. As for English, I learned from the basics of its grammar and spelling. Therefore I understand English better in terms of sentence structures and grammatical rules.
Another reason of your such perception is maybe that you have never read a good fiction story written by a good Khmer writer. I think a story sounding good or not depends on how it's written not what language is being used.

I found it's logical in sentence including words. If you say that I have never read any good fiction story written by good khmer writer, it's possible! So can you suggest me some of khmer writer you said! But If you said I don't know much about khmer literature or lack in grammar or anything, you are completely wrong. I used to be nominated for 1th good student in khmer basic for my school. And I do like reading khmer books before I can read in english and I have read every legends and other kind of books including some short fictions by Nou Harch and so on which are provided from my uncle. I agree with you about the story sound good or not depend on how it's written, but not language is being used. By the way, all I can say is when I come to read khmer books, somehow not come alive like english books. Different from what my dad said, he also disagreed with me, story sound good depend on how well the writter write involved with environment, place, time, what kind of society and conditions are. And Khmer have the meaning in khmer ways, and English have the meanings in their own ways. He said I might just start to be excited with english writing because it's new for me so very things new will catch my eyes and my sense, and I think so.
Well, have a good day!

You don’t need to be obsessed with your classmate. Everybody go to school to study! Feeling embarrassed will give you effort to improve yourself. Are you bad at grammar? Try to read book then. Books help you a lot, not just only grammar, but general knowledge as well.
