Hi, Seng, nice to see you in this website.  Tongue

I think I can answer a small part of your question.

I think a good way to read is first you have to understand what you are reading about and what do you want to get from your reading.

For example, if I am reading a Java Programming book, then I have already known that what I want to get from the book is to improve your Java knowledge. I might read only the chapters or pages that interest me, rather than the whole book; For some new vocabularies, I don't have to check dictionary as they can be understood by using the context, of course I can use the dictionary, but I think it might be boring to do so if there are too many vocabularies, moreover, what I really want is Java Programming, not the vocab. I think two reasons to do so are: first, it saves time, another one is that you can stay focus on what you are reading and get the best of what you really want from your reading.

These are my experiences on reading, I hope that it can help you in some part of your reading.  Cool

Good Luck.
