 Hello Vilang,

I used to face this problem as u do right. The good ways are:
- Try to communicate a lot with others people in English, Eps with the native speakers
- Don't worry too much about the grammar while you're talking
- Feel free(relax) when you're speaking, cuz nobody gonna catch ur fault
*** If there's no chioce, then what about the MIRROR ?

After I except some of these points, I feel that I have confident whenever I speak English. I'm not a fluently speaker one but I feel happy with what I can do by the way.

HOPE THIS MIGHT HELP...!

Hi guy, I am not a smart guy but maybe i can share some ideas with u. These are my ideas
1- you have to be confident. nobody is perfect, remember that u can learn from ur mistake
2- watch some English-speaking movies. it will help u with everyday expression
3- speak with whoever u can. don be afraid of being laughed at.
4- think before u speak. it will make u more confident.
5- sometimes speaking alone in front of the mirror can help. just act as if u were talking to someone.

There are alot more to do. i hope other friends will tell u more'.
Hope to see ur improvement soon. Grin Cheesy Wink

Hi Vilang et al!!!

To be confident is to believe ourself. I mean we have to force ourself that we have sufficient ability to conduct or perform any work we face!!!!

Try friend, step-by-step, I think you can do well!!!!!!!

Well, its bad that i'm to say such things. But, these days, sitting in front of PC, online to read posts in this forum, i found so many similar problems about speaking. Why Cambodian people dont have the courage to do what they feel is rite to do? I mean, they learn English because of various interest, and when it comes to real situation, they lacks confident in facing such moments. I have many Korean friends who are English-beginner, but they were showing their heart speaking English with breavery, leaving all negative thought behind. I want Khmer English learners to be like them, have this courage and confidence. Peace out brudda and sissy.

Hey Denith, this time I do support you guy!! But you know why Cambodian English learners find this hard to have a speak, not like other nations? Significantly, it relates to the cultural behavoir or habits!!
What do you think?

I think you rites about this. But i would to add that, the teachers of those who are willing to study English, do not DO well to encourage them. But if i talk about this, its like i relate it to the field of education and its standard.

Most teachers come to teach and then go home after dismissal time reaches, its like done deal, no more talks.

I'm glad that I have heard all these ideas from you all.  Grin Yes, let's do what you should do from now on. It isn't easy but that doesn't mean it's hard to do if you remember "Impossible is the only word not found in my vocabulary."

    Hi Vilang.
My idea is also like everybody above. I think the good way that you should always do is to speak with your friend a lots in english, Something like Good Morning and dairy activity. It is a basis point to make you confident.

What? No one can speak English? Are you serious? That can't be.... how long have you been working there? maybe they can speak a little or..... hmmm if you don't have time should keep self-study at home it can help you. Hey, you may not work on weekend right? so you can study that time. The only way is you should take time to study even it's hard for you i know study while having a job so tired but should not waste times and you don't want to lose your English too right?Huh??
Make schedule for your study and life girl!!!!
