WARNING: Never read this if you have never or rarely become nervous during exam. Go back!

Most of us have undergone test anxiety, that is the feeling of fear and stress during test situation. it severely affects our performance. so, How can you cope with this? This is SIMPLE way of getting rid of that crazy things. I got the ideas from reading some books and of course my own experience.

The rule is to totally forget the difficulty of the test. simple, isn't it? But how? easy!! Cheesy what you can do is to keep yourself busy from thinking of the crazy test. I'll tell you how:

1. When you are home, take some milk. I wouldn't recommend tea or coffee. while warming up your ear for the listening test, pay your whole attention to listen to what you are listening to. you can also ask your dog or pets, "how are you?" whatever you do is okay as long as it keep yourself from thinking  about that exam. there's nothing you can do at this time, you've prepared.

2. while you are at the test center and waiting to go in to the room, you'll likely to come into conversation with friends. Here, just talk about something that are not related to the test. but you can also ask some silly things such as " are we allowed to go to the toilet? will they follow us and go into the toilet with us?"

3. now you are in the exam room, just keep yourself busy from thinking about the difficulty of the test. I would suggest you go over tips and techniques for tests in your clever head. listen to the instructions given by the examiners totally.

4. now the test has started! amazingly you don't have any feeling of fear! here, try to do the test as quickly and carefully as possible. if you can't anwers some questions, don't worry just talk positively to yourself " There's nothing to fear about, it will affects my perfomance if i get fear, so I won't fear".Always avoid negative though. Keep your eye on your test paper, don't worry about what other students are doing. Keep yourself busy!

5. the test is now over! you are very satisfied with yourself. you've taken the test fearlessly, well done!

well, what i have written here is how to cope with stress you faced while you are doing exam.

For stress that you have when the exam is approaching you can simply practise practise practise... for that test. test anxiety is not always bad, you see. Here, it works as your motivation to study!

What if we feel that we've not prepared for it yet? Although I've practiced alot but I still think that it is not enough for such a difficult test like this.
Anyways, I'll use some of ur idea during the examination day, especially I'll ask my fren "Are we allowed to go to the toilet? will they follow us and go into the toilet with us?"
Hehe... That's funny!
OK...

i would say, just try to control your inner voice! That it even if you feel that you are unprapared, just talk positively to yourself, such as " this test is as easy as ABC, i will certainly pass this test easily!" Avoid negative thoughs such as " i'll fail this test...."! it is stupid, isn't it?, to think that way. this may not cut your stress 100%, but it'll help to a great extent.

Control your inner voice every time you do the test!  Grin

Control my inner voice? That's it! I usually say that "I will never fail IELTS test but I may get low score." Anyways, everything is done now. I've finished that exam and I feel quite release now.
Thanks for ur entire advice!
