Hi Paul,

Ravuth here! i've got some problems about writing biz letters in English.
I found that speaking & listening is not that so hard, but writing man!   Especially, writing a biz letter.

Grammar??? Oh! so headache Sad  Any advice about it!? Tongue

I find that this is a great learning zone, but if you could upload some free online tests and learning materials with an electronic scoring system, that's the best!

cheers...!

Dear Ravuth,

Thanks for your feedback and the content for the site is being developed and will be available by the weekend. I am waiting for more feedback from all your students as to what you want to see on the site nad then i will try to give it to you.i will try to post some practice exercises and examples for students to try out!

I also appreciate that actual reading tests online would be a great idea so thanks for that  Cheesy and that will be worked towards too!

Yeah, i understand that speaking and listening is easier for some people, that is because that is all to do with COMMUNICATION and in that way GRAMMAR    is not that much of a problem. As the real idea is to get your message across.

Grammar is however difficult for most students and this makes reading and writing hard! It is a good start to learn STRUCTURE as from structure you can learn to write better sentences and hopefully begin to learn more grammar. An foundation grammar guide is in the process of going on this site too!

We can also include a special business english posting section if enough members want then we can share ideas on business communication using letters and emails.

have fun!

enjoy english

Cool Hi all,

I just want to share some ideas regarding English Grammar. Learning a language, not just English, we have to know its grammar which is a vital feature of a language.

Since English is not the native language for some learners (but not you, Paul), grammar is very important for those learners just like us to be able to use English properly and correctly. It is true that speaking and listening is quite easier than reading and writing. However, if we speak incoherently and incorrectly, it would also be a big problem for us because no on would be able to understand us or the listeners may misunderstand us.

From my own experience, learning Grammar is not difficult. I have learned English Grammar for almost 4 years. I enjoy it so much!

so great to hear that socheata!

actually grammar is one of my favourite areas of language too, i have written an unpublished document on called speaking grammar, which is a series of graded grammar drills to help students reach accurate speaking proficiency by using grammar and structure as the basis of a repetitive drillling methodology.

I may post some of it here for you to try,

but sound to me like you are doing really well already!

congratulations, but anything you dont understand, or a teacher did not explain it properly to you, post it up here and me and the other students of english will look at it and have a go for you!

take care and have fun
