Dearest frens  Cheesy

listening seems to bring a heavy load for me!!!!
no matter how hard i try to strain my ears to listen to CNN news or BBC news. i seem not able to understand a single word.

even listening to the class listening activity, i never my answers.
sometimes i just hate myself for being so stupid....

i study english for many years; however, my listening skill isn't improving.

no matter what, i am going to improve my listening skill by attempting to listen to the native speakers, news and wherever i hear english being spoken...

i am going to improve my listening skill soon..........

Cheesy Hi, Love ruby,

I used to have the same problems before, but i think my listening skill has been improved quite good now. My technique is:
try to pronounce the words correctly for yourself.
:?
pratice listenning to different native speakers
listen to BBC news or ABC Asia Pacific every night on the radio.
I hope that the ideas will help you. Cool

Bunkheam, your ideas are interesting and are good, when i solve the problem with me and understanding khmer i will have more practical ideas for you. After all, i am learning Khmer as a second language learner, so i understand some of your difficulties directly!

The listening content of this website ( still being developed ) will also offer some more practical tips for all learners of English, this is coming soon....

Hi there and Paul
I saw there about listening. I think so as you before i the same you but now i know that my listening is improving by 97.5 and 100BBC radio. Since my ear phone was borrow by my brother and he isn't yet to repay for me so i can't listen to radio. I have big radio also, but when i turn on, it loudly and disturb to my neighbor who are sleeping.. Otherwise If we study Vocabulary and alot of words we can listen to BBC, CNN, technique words and other International Information... Make by yourself strong in listening and don't hate it...
This's just idea from Mr.Marady
Thank you Paul for make your program in Fm 97.5 because your program is very good for me and all person who want to study english well

Hi guys,

Well m Dexter i hope you not mind if i share some of ma skill. Em i think you shouldn't hate it ya know before you listen be happy and you will know that you got what ya listen to. Like Paul signature " If it is not fun, it isn't worth doing! " so be happy to do everything ya wanna do. And for me i won't start with BBC orCNN first yet if i were you i'll start wit cartoon or a movie first (i do cartoon first). Ok now laugh i won't mind you all of you. I know it's funny but try to force yourself to listen with a difficult thing first will make you lost your hope so why don't ya try from a lower stuff and you'll feel bettr and believe in yrself and so you can try the tough one then. And hey Ruby yr ideas are wonderful and so i don't know that ma idea is good or not but i do got a big success for ma self.

Be happy,
Dexter

Hi loveruby, ur problem is similar 2 my past experience. I used to feel like that too, when i listened 2 the BBC or native english. It like this because u brain hasn't accustom 2 that english action yet. So i think u should keep trying this everyday. After this u can listen 2 it, ok.

Look! You are putting yourself into troubles. Not just trouble but TROUBLES. It is true because you want to jump to the 10th step at once.

Start with something simple then you will love the way you are.
