Matching headings is also one of my poorest skills. Do you belive or not before in IELTS, out of 10 headings, I did only 3 or 4 corrects! later on I found an idea just like this:
1/ Read the first two sentence to get gist(idea), so you can see what the writer tries to say.
2/ Sometimes you also have to take a look at the last sentence, cos It might be also the clue to answer but this is not common.
3/ Skim through the list of heading and underline keyword that attract your mind.
4/ Looking for synonym becuase they always try to trick us.
These simple steps help me to get 7 or 8 out of 10 heading in my real IELTS test last month na. Hope it works with you guy too.
