Hi, this is me dony, a new member of 5steps. i just feel very compicated when, in the test, matching titles with texts! They are very similar, and i can not get to know what is the main idea of each text. I hope i'll the solution after all your replies!!

Hi Dony welcome to fantastic 5steps forum!  Grin

Matching headings is also one of my poorest skills. Do you belive or not before in IELTS, out of 10 headings, I did only 3 or 4 corrects! later on I found an idea just like this:

1/ Read the first two sentence to get gist(idea), so you can see what the writer tries to say.
2/ Sometimes you also have to take a look at the last sentence, cos It might be also the clue to answer but this is not common.
3/ Skim through the list of heading and underline keyword that attract your mind.
4/ Looking for synonym becuase they always try to trick us.

These simple steps help me to get 7 or 8 out of 10 heading in my real IELTS test last month na. Hope it works with you guy too.
