Don't you think it is wrong in cambodia?Just want to know from you all..
It is not, and these are what I think:
- Mainly because of "globalization," our country can not avoid but accept it. We are a developing country and it is unwise to deny the help of others.
- Young children love partying these days, and it is one good side for economics growth. The point is, boys - and girls - will spend money today. But not just young people, old people also spend money to buy present on Xmas.
- Tourism influence. What if our govenment forbids Christmas celebration? What if those tourists who travel here for Christmas holiday can not enjoy their holiday here, because we suppress the christmas?
- What's really wrong with it? We can celebrate it and maintain our culture. It is, however, up to the elder people to supervise the young people who want to "modernize" themselves. We have to make sure they are on the right track of celebrating foreign culture festival.
- Anyway, christmas day is not Cambodian national and official holiday, it is celebrated by some group of people. So, it won't affects much to other who don't.
- Last of all, it is a great day for BBQ. So, who want to join?
