For listening section..........
1. read the first question and its four choices(so that you will prepare for the first when it starts)
2. highlight keys word in the first question
3. read through other questions but not their four choices(you won't have time!)
4. oh! it starts! go to first questions and also read what is asked in the second questions(always a good idea to read more than one question, continously do this, read the first and second questions, after having anwer question 1, read question 2 and 3,and....)
5. listen and answer.

Guesswork:
if the cassete is too fast and you cannot answer, choose the longer choice(second longest or the longest). it is more likely to be correct.
try to eliminate anwers you think it won't be correct, in this way, you increase the chances of choosing the correct answer.

for reading........
1.read the first and choices, and second questions(not it choices, you may get confused)
2. hightlight keywords
3. oopp! come to place, answer it(always a good idea to read more than one question, continously do this, read the first and second questions, after having anwer question 1, read question 2 and 3,and....)

guesswork? just as listening!

open to comment! Grin

That is a great idea, but it is quite hard to do, I think!
I've always got low score in MCQ, dunno why? But I've surely tried to follow that tips, unluckily I couldn't do it. Maybe I'm too....
And if u have another idea to share, I'm welcome cos I'm gonna take IELTS test on this Septemeber 8th.
Thanks in advanced!

I'd rather be negative than positive. But absolutely my IELTS band score is 6.5 and I may have to use your helpful tips after I finish my diploma course and re-do the IELTS test. Thanks you for ur advice!
