I am really appriciate your idea also thanks for trying to raise and deal with such a big case of developing Cambodia. Moreover, you guys have lots of good idea in this case. I accept what Loren has mentioned, but not all.

Once, in the third pharagraph, In my opinion not all of our Cambodian students could not compare to foriegn students and not all of them don't like reading book.

Once more about teachers, during I was studying at the university I found some lack points of some teachers in Cambodia. There, at my university nearly all of teachers who tough me had forgotten one important technique to tell students. They should better tell students about the advantage of the lesson by comparing to the real practice.

Being a student I always wonder how could I apply my field to the specific job, general job or daily life? I think you are all also wonder the same as me when you were a students. Teacher just only tells students about the lesson in the book that he/she going to teaches and let students just look around their text book; he/she rarely tells what this lesson will apply to the job, why do we study this lesson, when this could be adopt and what is the advantage of this lesson to student when they going to practice a real job or how this lesson could adopt to their daily life. He/she rarely raise the real experience of performance to show the students. That is why some students just study to fulfil the requirement of the teacher in order to get the score. Just study in dream.

Students, Some students they don't have their own plan for their future's job so they don't have their clear direction to go. This case is mostly effect to their study because when they don't know what they want to do in the future they have no idea to search about the requirement of their job, so they have no question to ask teacher or others for guide.

What I have mentioned above just refer to some of person only not all.

In my opinion, University students should have their own plan so they can define their specific way to go. We could set up various plans to reach our goal such as study plan, job research plan, self development plan and life plan. When students set up their proper plan they will know which way to go and then they will find the lack point of their ability, so they have an idea to ask teacher or others for help. In addition, they know what to research and where to go for their research, so they don't even wast the time. The more question they ask, the more research they do, the more different places they go it helps them to study about their own skill, people, communication, outside world,  they way of work and society.

What I suggest to teachers is that don't try to interrup student by raising only the disadvantage of country or political in our country, please try other way to encourage them to love their home country. Make them love their own better than hate.

Ohhhh, sorry maybe it is to long. However, just only part of my opinion. Hope you don't mind this long.

As for me, I think this is people personal.... Everyone have their own reason and decisions. I dont have any bad feeling for them... Because we cannot understand about their real sense. I partly understand about this kind of emotion, though. That's because I know some of that people. You know what? Even though they are in that type of emotional feeling but they mostly are very talent in doing bussiness or any works which that make me admire them a lot. That kind of sense sometimes can be faded and vanished from their mind whenever they decide to change their life by marrying with opposit sex. Some of them have pointed their goal of life already. So I respect their right of making decision.

I sometime hate them (gays and lesbians) too, but I don't y I still keep relationship with them. Maybe every man like me, hate them but think that they are pity. And don't want to let them alone.
I think maybe they have some problems with their mind. When I want to get near with them, they alway think they are good, they are clever, nobody equal them. Why? Sinith, I hope you are not trying to generalize all the gays and lesbians' behaviour. I think, that is something that has to do with someone's personality rather than a peculiar attitude of gays and lesbians. Gays and lesbians are arrogant? Even straight people are. What do you think?    After all, I assume it depends on whom you interact with.

I don't know how long a head this topic will go on, but it's been really interesting!

I wonder why people keep saying that gay or lesbian is a decision made by an individual. It's not true at all. Who would choose to be gay or lesbian that is hated by their family? Who would choose to be someone that is not accepted in the society? This is obviously not a decision. It's something that a person is born with. It's the truth, the fact that that person doesn't want but they can't deny who they are. This is the reason that people should know and understand ... How would you feel if you were born gay or lesbian and your life is surounded by hatred from the society??

I'm sorry, I might have gone too far ... But I really do want the people who are agianst homosexuality to think again, why don't we make this planet a friendly world? Let's make no enemy!

Hello, Somala!

To me, I don't think that it's a good idea to accept gays and lesbians in our society, Cambodian context.

It's their own right to choose their partner. However, it won't be acceptable to allow a marriage between two people of the same sex. This kind of people might strongly influence the people of the next generation! As we know that a person's personality is shaped in two ways (nature and nurture). In this context, Older people is the role model for young people. If older people who always be the guidance for them think that being gays or lesbians is good, young people will also tend to follow and agree with this idea. By then what will happen in our society. Will we have a gay prime minister, lesbian ministers, gay teachers...etc to lead the country, the ministries, teach us? I strongly deny to study with gay teachers and I don't want my children (supposition) to be a gay or lesbian because I want to see his/her as a strong man or woman and lead their prosperious future.Therefore, being gays and lesbians must be forbbiden in Cambodia in order not to influence the next generation and the prosperity of Cambodian Culture.

What is your comment about my idea?
