I think if you are interesting in playing chess, it will helps you prefer Political Science. But this subject is the most crucial one. Its the best subject to be subjected and the best object to be objected. You see, the word "political" already scare the hell of people, adding the word "science" really infused the mind of people with many way of thinkings and knowledge flow. My advise is, don't crazy with it.

Hi Panharath, I'd like to tell you about my experience with taking a semester course of political science. I am sorry to say that I found my political science lecturer boring but I found the lessons very interesting. Look, Panharath, when you learn political science, you will witness so much knowledge that you might think when you work you don't need it. It's not like that. It's knowledge that you take with you all the time inside of the top thing of your head. I honestly admit that after taking the course, I have started enjoying reading books about political science. It's great to know the founding father of philosophy, what a city state is and how each country in the world evolved through times. You will learn Adam Smith who was very well-known for his policies of capitalism but was found that he had no pennies after he lay in his coffin (passed away/died). When you study political science, you'll accumulate so much knowledge that you are proud of because then you'll be one of the workforces to help push your country forward. You will never know, but believe me that you need it to understand. We are not living alone in this world. We need to see other people's examples to develop our own country. Who want to be crazy with it? I must to take this class! I do hate it! i can't drop this class! Damn! Oh, you may get addict to political science if you try it once. My suggestion is that you go find a good book to read. I'll tell you later about a political science book that I favour. Oopse, please bear in mind that political science isn't politics. According to wikipedia, political science is a branch of social science concerned with theory, description, analysis and prediction of political behavior, political systems and politics broadly-construed. Refresh your mind now. Get some breath in and out. Smile and go to the class.

Thank for all your suggestion, I understand about it and my dad spend the rest of the day to explain me about the meaning of Political Science, but you know what? It somehow doesn't absorb into my head. Me, a little bit seem like to study this subject because it gives me some knownledge but sometimes when it comes to discuss in class, I have no ideas at all, like BLANKED. I want to have ideas to join the discussion with my classmates. Finally, my dad said when start boring with it when I know nothing about it, so I need to take time to study this subject step by step. Is he right? But I don't think so. It's too complicated when happen to talk about POLITICAL SCIENCE!

Hi Panharath, You're welcome. ...Hey, you said that when it comes to class discussions, you have no ideas. How do you have ideas without reading first? ;)Reading gets you where you want to be although you can go there in person. Your father is right. You need to study it step by step. At the beginning, you need to know the clear definition of political science (clear for you). Then, you'll learn who created political theories which are divided into four kinds. Those four kinds are contributed to by famous political scientists and philosophers like John Lock, Thomas Hobbes, Aristotle, Plato...ect. I think it's not going to be too complicated if you know where to start first. Why don't you start going to your political science lecturer now and ask him for a book for a beginner like you? If you need to have ideas to speak with your groupmates or something, you are supposed to read a lot and listen a great deal. Any objection?

I also hated doing it at first. But I started enjoying it after I read a page or two. Hey should I kneel down to ask you to be my teacher, Mala? hehe Hey, Panharath, you don't need to kneel down. That's not required. I used to have a lot of students, so now it doesn't make a big difference if I get one more student.

Don't you think excessive reading results in mental disorder? And overwhelming reaction?

Hahaha..nice. At least, a teacher like me will get a cup of tea. (Leuk teok tee chun kru mork). Don't you think excessive reading results in mental disorder? And overwhelming reaction? Hmm, I don't think so. It happens only because you are incapable of managing your time to read. It doesn't mean you are required to read non-stop. You have time to read, to sleep and eat.

You're right, Denith, sometimes it causes some headache. But I can bear it. I don't need to force yourself to read everything. Just make it fun. You can do it.
