wassup Jupiter!

Well, from my experience, the best way to practise speaking is to first find what u like to talk. Then find any reading materials that relates to it. Next, get a friend or someone u like to hold a conversation with. Starting by first tell the your friend what u've read about the book or magazine u've found. That way you can get plenty of ideas. Also, dont hesitate to use any vocab or phrase taken from that text. It's a good start. well, i find it very effective for me so i hope it will help u too.

Any feedbacks are welcome!

Best of luck!!!

hey Prince Charming,  Cheesy

I like your ideas, kind of forming a speaking club with your friends to discuss ideas and share information in English, that is a great way to learn. I am thinking about starting a www.5steps2ielts.com speaking club in the future, but it is not definate yet, only an idea!  Smiley

Jupiter, of course any practice in a second language is great, whenever i am out in Phnom Penh, I always try hard to speak Khmer to anyone and everyone, and this gives me confidence. I don't speak very good Khmer but i get out there and practice and i get a very positive response from the Khmer people who have to listen to my bad Khmer. However, with a method of drilling and always speaking the full answer to any question, I have been able to understand basic Khmer grammar structures and now i can speak quite a lot!  Cheesy

More speaking tips will be appearing on this site soon, and the notes from the www.5steps2ielts winners seminar will be posted early next week, so you can get some good ideas for practising English from that. Also keep listening to LOVE FM every WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY 8.30pm-9.30pm for the www.5steps2ielts learning zone show, as on there i always give out a speaking tip or lesson. You can find some speaking tips in the Khmer newspaper 'Search', which is free on most University campuses around Phnom Penh. My speaking tips are also published in this newspaper.  Cheesy

Don't give up hope, practice of any type is great and practice help you improve, but following the 5steps2ielts speaking tips can give you perfect practice which will make you perfect!  Cheesy

Don't forget learning a language is fun, and speaking more should give you confidence!  Cheesy

have fun,

  Paul
