That's a lucky of me that I have a chance to get to know you, Heangda!! Yes, last night I read a great book, talking  about all most of world-successful men's notions and visions.

In that book, I found a phrase saying "One will never be succeed if he doesn't know what a failure is" and " One will never know what is victory if he never fails".

Since I have read that great book, it seems to build up my confidence of not to afraid of failure. I honor to get everything I deserve to.

Anyway, I am elated to have a talk to you. See you then!!

Hey, Kimlong, you mind tellling me the title of the book? It sounds interesting. I love such books so much.

Hi, Kim Long and all you guys!!!!!!!

It's been my great pleasure to see many members'interests in the topic.
In fact, I do feel that I and Kim Long have led to out of the topic.

Oh! Long, What's an on earth book you have read? I see,
That's a very good example for all the members who have recently finished reading books.
I mean we all should pick up crucial points of what we read to post so that everyone will get more concepts.

Anyway, here are some sayings I used to get:
"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it."

"One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn't do."

Bye,

Hi, all

Do ya think that once we have read something and we didn't have opportunity to express those concepts, we will lose it. Imagine!! If you didnt take note from the class, have you ever experienced going blank to the next class? So, do anyone have great techniques of taking note?

Let's share, guys!!!!!!!

For note-taking, usaully I don't write in full sentences. Grammar is not important.
One of my strategies is to use abbreviations. But you'll need practice before you can use it to the best extent. I'll cut a long word short by taking away its vowel(s) and some consonant(s).

Ex: imprtnt
      imprt
      diffi.
      expln
      wrd
      wrk
      btwn

Can you tell me what these stand for?  Wink

Oh, Greeny

Does it work for you? I see that many of my friends he used MP3 or MP4 recorder. Do you think it is good or bad because some people will lose the taking-note ability due to the dependence? Plus, any comment to help those?

Hi there!!

I don't know what tips or methods that are useful for anybody else, yet for myself, I rarely take any note unless it is the gist or crucial point. The below are my take note procedure so as to gain and remember, understand the lesson effective:

-Listen carefully to the teachers
-Note only the main ideas of the lesson
-Imagine and expand the ideas teachers mentioned ( by asking the source or why like that...)
-When get home review and imagine the view and words while teachers' explaining.
-Try to find out more documents concerning with the lesson learning.
Er....I think.......it is nearly all.

Hi friend i think that reading the same thing not bad. It can make u remember good advice or contend, so u can use this when u need. Sometime, reading the different things we can't sure that it good all the time. If u read different things all times, u will forget some useful things before. So in the end how many percent can u get?

I don't think using MP3 or MP4 is bad. But I think if you spend an hour listen to your teacher, you have to spend at least 2 or 3 hours to listen to your recorder to get the main points. Still if you don't note the important points, you won't remember it for long. Finally, you will have to listen to that stuff again.
Yes, I think it is rather dependence. It's better you try and get the main points while listening to your teacher.

Kimlong suggested great ideas too. Maybe your friends should try doing that.
