Hey Lynn,
This is a very common problem for everyone, and I think the best way to deal with this is you forcing yourself to really read. When you read, you need concentration; you have to understand the message in the reading.
If you don't understand the details, it's okay. Try to get the general idea of the book first.

Greeny is right. However, you need to choose the books that you want to read; it might also be a good idea to concentrate on one thing, for example tense first, vocabulary next, content last. Try to have fun while you read, don't push yourself too hard.

Hey Lynn,
Reading books which are your lessons is quite boring; I agree with that. But reading something like this will not help you gain your knowledge much. A part from just learning in class and study for class, you can learn outside your class too. That is when you have to read something fun to help you learn more.
Trust me, learning can take place both inside and outside schools. Try reading something that's not related to your lesson.

Hi Lynn et al!!
Hey Lynn, If you want to get rid of boredom in reading your lesson books at firs, I think you should actually know what is the value in reading that book, what you will gain after finishing reading that book.
Like you said, if you are allowed to choose any books to read by yourself, it will be useless for you or not help you gain any knowledge or promote your studyability.
If I were you, I would pretend to think that those lesson books were my faverite books. When I finish reading those books, It could help me obtain number one in class or being an outstanding student because of reading those books.
Another thing is that you have to make yourself be competative. I mean you have to pretent thinking that if I don't read or don't understand those lesson books, I won't get number one or being an outstanding student.
To simply the above mentions, I suggest that first of all you have to bend your feeling that those books totally vital for your life, which you can not live without them.
Here are just what I have gone through!

A good way of learning there, Kimlong. I think I will have to try to make myself believe that my lesson books are important to me, but the only problem is whenever, I start to open my books, I kinda fall asleep. Anyway, I'll try doing what you suggest. Greeny,

your problem is that you cannot totally concentrate while you are reading. Well, i used to be in your shoe and that really annoys me sometimes. Alrite, in order to solve your problem effectively, first you gotta make sure that you are refreshed enough to read a book. Then why not ask yourself that what are you reading for?I guess it's because of thinking a lot of things at the same time while reading. Try not to think about anything and tell yourself that you're reading. Keep going... Have fun!!!

Anyway, thank for your helps. i'l try my best to follow it.. Happy mother's day Lynn

Hi! I have this problem when I'm reading too. My friend told me that you should make feel clear. To do that you should have a bath before start read because it can make your body cold and fresh feel. Sun°
