One thing that help you to success in your reading skills is keep up with reading until you feel satisfy with it. I used to do so when i was at the university because i didn't have chance to study english when i was in high school. So what i did was to read by listening to the radio & try to imitate every single word.

Some technique when you read, you have to ask:
  - what?
  - who?
  - where?
  - when?
  - why?
  - how?

The text in the paragraph will answer all these questions. Esp for newspaper reading. This is just one corner of thought.

Hi man,

What are you guys talking about reading? Do ya mean reading section in the examination like IELTS and Toefl?

You know, it reallly depends!! whether your purposes of reading are.
I would say that Loren have given a very fantastic technique for general reading.
However, in the exam, this method is not sufficient for passing the test. I would recommend the skimming and scanning techniques Grin

Anyway, I think each person will find the best way for reading themselves!!
Please practice!!!!!!!!! and practice!!!

Well, as heangda explain is quite right but remember one thing to be success in your reading section you have to have a broad knowledge & understanding of various topics. Since you come to expand your knowledge in various topics then you don't have to worry about vocabulary anymore. Keep working hard...

I really appreciate of heangda U

Hi everyone,

Just as Loren and Da said, I agree and one more thing, Samnang pls try to read things which is your favorite like story book or any subjects, this will similarise you to the structure and style of English lanuage and also expand your lexical resource.  Wink
