 Hey guys, Wink

A lot of you have asked what is the CELTA. The CELTA stands for Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults and is the accepted standard for native-speakers and some non-native speakers who wish to teach English. It is administered by Cambridge ESOL, which is part of the University of Cambridge, located in the United Kingdom. CELTA is a one month intensive course which is taught at several institutions all over the world under the franchise of Cambridge ESOL. The qualification is designed to ensure that a teacher knows the correct teaching methodology and approaches to make them effective in the classroom. This is the professionally accepted standard and if your teachers have a CELTA, it means that they have invested time and money into becoming a better teacher.

Hope that helps,  Grin

It is always a good idea to check what qualifications teachers have when you're considering joining a course.  Wink

You'll certainly reduce the risk of wasting either of them considerably.  Grin

Yes, i totally agree. But things students have to remember is whether their english is improving or not studying with their teachers. If not, what is the cause? It's because of the teacher or themselves? I myself wasted ONE year studying English without any improvement except few english words.
