 Wink Hi Tola,
As I also had a preparation course for TOEFL, I know that it’s a very hard English test just as IELTS too.
My teacher then told me a lot of advices on that listening section. For example some questions we do not need to listen to the CD, but still we can know the answers. That the strategies and tips to learn. I would also recommend the Longman preparation book for TOEFL for u guy to practice. There is a good chance for u if u get taught by American professional teacher specialised in this test.
Thanks you

Find toefl books and check it out! In those books consist of techniques relating to the test; not only listening task, but also speaking, reading and writing ones.

I suggest you find the Longman toefl books!

I know it is hard to listen to the native speaker on the test. Ii's easy in part 1, but part 2 and 3 are more difficult and complexable.
I don't know in what way I can do listening test without CD or tape. So can you add more detail.

If can't listen to it properly, the best way to do is to guess. But we have techniques to conduct that. If my memory serves me rite, the hints of should be:

-Similar sound most of time is not the answer
-Synonym
-Listen to the tone of the speaker
-listen to imperative
-Most time in toefl, we can the true answer in choice B or C
....
Sorry I'll add more as I remember it.

Dear All,

I see all your post, and I found that it is very difficult for me too with listening. The best way that I have tested myself, is to practice. The More effective practice is to Listen the The radio such as: BBC, Radio Australia,...etc. During your listening plz take a note of the words you have heard.

Any comment plz provide me, coz i am also an english student.
enjoy your study!!!!

Hi Hean;

In the International testing like Toefl or IELS, there is no pre-exam but it is only preparation course provided by many certified school in Phnom Penh like IFL, ACE, ELT, PUC....etc. After this course, Your are going to take the examination organized by the obove schools
