???Smoking is being banned in many places such as homes, schools, pagodas, and especially in public buildings because of the effectiveness of smoking on health. Smoking has been known for a very long time focus on unhealthy and disturbing from the smoke of cigarette. In addition, smoking is potentially hazardous to all those who inhale it, whether voluntarily or passively.?As the result, smoking in public buildings should be banned for three reasons.
???For the first reason, smoking makes their health get worse and worse. Because when they smoke, the smoke will go directly to their body by their breath to inhale it, it causes their lung stop working because of poison from the smoke and it becomes lung cancer, which no one can cure it. From my research that, approximately 4000 chemical substances have been identified in cigarette smoke, about 400 of them are harmful to our body and more than 40 of them may cause cancers. As the result, smoking produces environmental tobacco smoke and that smoke can be dangerous to non-smokers. The National center for chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion estimates that 38,000 of non-smoking American adults die every year, about 3,000 from lung cancer and 35,000 from ischemic heart disease. Moreover, the smoke from cigarette makes their blood get pressure because they inhale the smoke throw to their air system and it spread to their blood system, that why it destroys their blood system easily and turn to have blood pressure. According to ASH( action on smoking and health ),?smoking kills around 114,000 people a year in the UK and half of all lifelong smokers die from diseases caused by their smoking currently. In addition, the smoke makes their skin cancer. When they smoke the smoke go into their organ and turn their fat becomes frozen. Because of their fat become frozen, it causes their sweat cannot come out automatically. This is one of the leading causes to have skin cancer.
???For the second reason, smoking is leading to loss their property. As we know that a pack of cigarette costs 1$ up to 3$ and they spend a pack per day, this is a lot of spending for them because they are workers and get low salary. Example, if they are construction workers, they get only 7000 riles per day, so how much do they get after spending from cigarette? As the result from spending, they can get only 3000 riles a day, how can they spend with little money if they all have wives and children? How do they support their family if they spend a huge amount of money on cigarettes? To add the top of waste money to buy, smoking is waste time to smoke. A cigarette spend 3 to 5 minute to smoke so how about 20 cigarettes per pack, how many minute do they have to spend. Every body always said, “Time is money??? so they do not have to spend with useless thing, which they can get from their hard work. Furthermore, the smoke makes their lives disappearance because it destroys every thing such as lung cancer, blood pressure, skin cancer and so on. This is important cause’s smokers to death because of smoking. They kill themselves by their own hand. According to my research, the smokers are always men in Cambodia. They make an important role in family or who responsible to survive for whole family so if they die, who will responsible for this family, wives or children do this. They are the heads of the families so they have to take this difficulty role in family.
???For the final reason, smoking is bad effect to other people outside. The smoke of cigarette spread to everywhere and every places, this is cause air pollution to other people. Imagine that we want to take a rest at riverside and think that we are going to have a good time and have to relax and want to take fresh air, but then the smell of cigarettes fills the air. Our breathing rate increases. Well, no one wants to go such bad place anymore but in fact this is good place for every body to relax but a few people make this good environment turn bad. How do you feel when you meet such this situation? They do not respect to other who do not smoke, it is more likely to be affected by other around them smoking. The cigarette smoke is very annoying and unhealthy to secondhand smokers.?Secondhand smokers kills more than firsthand smoker; the secondhand smokers are at more of a risk of lung cancer, ASH reported. Moreover, smoking is putting someone a risk. It can affect not only the smoker but also the people in the smoker's surroundings. Statistics state that secondhand smoke can prove to be very harmful to individuals who do not smoke and can cause serious health problems by inhaling the smoke being blown out.
???Some people may contend that smoking should not be banned in public buildings because it is in the people’s interest to go wherever they feel to have fun and hang out. This is free country so everyone have right to do it. It is free to smoke or doing something because this is a democratic country so they can do what ever they want to do.
???This is unlikely to be true that everyone have right to smoke, but they kill someone around them by smoking it is unfair for them. The smoke from cigarette makes someone who has bad asthma is difficult to breathe because the smoke cannot affect them anymore. Moreover, it is the leading causes to put someone to death, the people who smoke die and the second hand smoker die too. If smokers choose to put their health in danger by smoking, that is their choice, however they should not be granted the opportunity to put others at risk. No one has the right to poison or kill other people with the thousands of toxic chemicals in second-hand smoke.?
???Smoking in public buildings is disrespectful, reckless, and killer.?Lives are important for them so if they love their lives or other people’s lives, please give up smoking. They will save a lot of thing, which they have, loss such as money, time, and lives. They will have happy family and their countries do not have air pollution forever
