Hi Kimlong,

Personally, I think "what about?" and "how about?" mean the same when it comes to "suggesting somebody something that we think is good".

For example: A: I want to go for a walk next Sunday.
                    B: How/what about tomorrow??

More ideas will be appreciated!

I would like to nuance between "what about" and "how about" depending on the speaker's intent.

For example, if one means to say, "What do you think about going to a pub?" the short of it would be "What about going to a pub?"
"How do you feel about going to a pub?" becomes "How about going to a pub?"

"What is going to be done for all those other people?"....."What about all those other people?"

"How were you able to find out about all those other people?"....."How about all those other people?"

or that last one could be a rhetorical question in the style of "How about those Yankees?"
