Major Problem? Are you serious? this is one serious topic.

Well, there are countless problems... i'll help one:

Cambodian society consists of many uneducated people:

Education is very important but Cambodian people try to avoid it. And as we can see, nowaday, many people are not well-educated or even uneducated. Why they avoid education? For money! of course.

So. derive from the above problems, we can lead to another. Cambodian society is money-based one. The one with more money, has more power. That's all to speak about it.

Hey, Ratanaros

Perhaps, you are trying to brainstorm the major problems in Cambodia.
We see and hear these:

- poverty (a big gap between the very rich and the poor)
- more uneducated people (as Denith mentioned), degrading education system
- youth problems, the adoptation of wrong foreign cultures...
- land grabbing
- political depotism
- environment (climate change)
- traffic accidents
There are more.

-Poverty
-Unemployment
-Corruption
-Land disputation
-Traffic accident
-Druge abuse
-Illegal druge import and produce
-Deforestation
-The increasing of a number of youths drinking alcohol (esp in bars and beer garden)

There are more, but let others find!!
Have fun!!!

Thank you for your good answers!

For Keosomala ideas, I want to ask you one question. About politcal despotism, why do you think that?

HI Ratanaros,

I need to apologize. In fact, I was confused to use 'despotism'. What I meant is 'political nepotism'. Nepotism =  favoritism shown to relatives or close friends by those in power (as by giving them jobs).... Smiley (www.onelook.com) Cheesy

Hi, all

These above problems are always occored in Developing Country. Like our Cambodia, If we still exist the name Developing Country, all problems can't be reduced easily. However, these problems are the causes why Cambodia is the poor. What we, a human being, can do now is just to think and show our opinion!

It is ok Keosomala, you are right. This is a problem for someone who need jobs while they do not have money, network. However, if we have full ability, so we can get a good job without network. Do you think so?

For Tola ideas, i agree with you because Cambodia is a developing country so Cambodia have been faced those problems.

I do agree with you Ratanaros, if we have full abilities we can get a fantastic work as our dream! For instance, I myself do not, do not have any network, however, I can work in a very great work place, NBC, where everyone habitually think the place for networking people work.

Anyway, learn hard and learn smart are the best way for whom students can do.

Have Fun!!

I do agree with you, Ratanaros. In order to find a job, one doesn't have to depend on network if one is fully qualified. When someone doesn't have monkey or network, it's important that one has to have the right thoughts of how to apply for a job. To find a job on your own makes you feel wonderful, using your own ability. However, I don't call it a serious problem despite a lot of complaints from people who are looking for jobs.

But another problem to be considered is 'political nepotism', leading to corruption.
