this is totally my own ways(my teacher told me
some of it): free to kick out, modify, or accept!
task one: 1. read and understand: read
everything u see on page. (usually less than 2 mns)
2. plan: your plan should look like this:(less than 3 mins)
time/tense: past/present ( u most likely to use past tense if u see a bar graph.., and passive voice if it is a process)
topic: what is it? what is it about? ( you will know how to write it)
overview: what is its overall trend? ( you will know how to write it)
details: ask urself: what is the most noticeable points?
how do i organize my essay?
(u may think of detail first, that will make it easier to determine its overall trend and topic. try to organize your essay according to your detail. usually if u get 150 words, don't have to write conclusion. assuming that there is 13 words in a line, so 12 lines is enough)
write: say what u see!
revise: look for spellings....( u may not have time to do so, be careful while wring then)
for me , i try to finish task one no longer than 25 mins.
task two:
1. read, understand and plan( less than 5 mins)
is it argumentative, discursive, problems solutions?
brainstorm ideas.....( i'd recommend paul's book)
2. write: use basic organiztion to deal with each kind of essay.
3. revise: again you may not have time, so try to correct urself while writing.
some good words for task one overview: overall, at first glance we can see that, the overall picture is that....
